ACTS 3:1-12

INTRODUCTION:

We find most our opportunities outside the church. Here we see the first Apostolic miracle, and like Jesus' first miracle it is

a picture of salvation. Five great truths are seen.

It was a ministry of:

1. PRAYER -VS. 1

2. PERSONAL WITNESSING -VSS. 4-6

3. POWER -VSS. 6, 7

4. PRAISE -VS. 8

5. PREACHING -VS. 12

 

I. THE MAN -vss. 1.3

1. Born lame

2. Brought daily

3. Beyond human aid.

 

II. THE MINISTRY -Vss. 4.7

1.        OF SIGHT -How man has different looks.

 (1) CURIOSITY -Blind man in. -John 9

(2) CONTEMPT -Priest and Levite -l1Jke 10 r- (3) COMPASSION -Good Samaritan

2. OF SPEAKING -Faith cometh by hearing.

3. OF STRENGTH -Rise up. Gave him right hand of power and fellowship.

III. THE MIRACLE -vss. 7-12

1. ITS AUTHORITY

(1) THE NAME -Chapter 4:12

Only name for salvation.

(2) THE NEED -Met completely

2. ITS ACTIONS

1. REGENERATION -vs. 8

(1) Stood

(2) Walked

(3) entered church

2. REJOICING -vs. 8, He praised God in

the Temple.

3. ITS AMAZEMENT

1. Over the pardoned man. -vs. 10
